"I ordered and purchased a 2004 Four Winns 288 Vista Cruiser from Maine-ly Marine in late Fall 2003. I took delivery in early Spring 2004. MM's assisting in my investigating and choosing options and facilitating specialized factory changes I wanted in the construction of the boat were professional and forthright. I felt that I had a first hand relationship with Four Winns before I even took delivery of the boat.
MM did all the preliminary inspections of all components and launched the boat at the marina of my choice. Stan spent the better part of a day checking all systems after launch and checking me out on the operation of the boat.
MM has serviced the boat since that time, both at the marina when required, in their yard where it is stored each winter. They have worked directly on my behalf for any/all warranty work I've had done since I purchase the boat. Although minor in nature, all repair work I've had done has been professionally done. They request very specific information and data regarding how the boat performs during a season in the water so they can assure my next boating season will be trouble free. Be prepared for lengthy questions about your boat performance and also a walk through inspection (with you) when you bring them a boat for service or repair.
It is important to me (because my boat is in the water all season) that I not have to wait for parts if they are needed for service. Minor things do happen during the season. I had a water pump impeller replacement on the generator one year, and throttle linkage adjustments another, but otherwise their mechanics have caught everything else in the yard over the past 8 years.
I would highly recommend you consider them for your next boat, but be prepared for more than just a boat sale. Take your time, and be sure to meet both Stan and Andrea personally.
